Abriblio/Exchange Boxes

In 2020, Cyril Coussat, a resident of Nyon, approached the Social Cohesion Department to propose a project to repurpose the old bus shelter on Chemin d’Eysins. Today, this space has become a sharing cabinet for neighbors, called the Abriblio.

Gardens

In 2015, in response to requests from residents, the Social Cohesion Department helped set up community gardens in neighborhoods, schools, after-school care centers (UAPE), public spaces, and even at the base of private apartment buildings.

Pétanque
Court – Pré de l’Oie

In 2017, the Pré de chez T’Oie neighborhood association proposed building a pétanque court for the neighborhood center, and a resident took charge of the project.

The neighborhood association is responsible for the pétanque court, which is available to all residents.

 
Collectif la Déchet’ – Event Organization

In 2022, about fifteen neighbors living in the northern part of the city founded the collective La Déchet’. Their goal: to revitalize the La Plantaz neighborhood.
The collective has organized numerous events and, notably, created the Scène Nord.

La Scène Nord aims to bring the northern neighborhood of the City of Nyon to life and foster social interaction. Today, this welcoming venue hosts concerts, performances, workshops, and a weekly market, becoming a true hub of life and community during the summer months.

Abris-cosy – High School Students’ Project

The “cozy” shelter initiative aims to create welcoming spaces in public areas that are underutilized or misused, making them accessible and protected. It addresses a need expressed by both young people and the general public.

This initiative stems from workshops conducted with high school students during the participatory process carried out between 2023 and 2025.
