1. Par essence, l’Eco-quartier du Boiron favorise la mixité sociale (env. 1/3 de logements sociaux, 1/3 de logements à loyer modéré, 1/3 de logements avec des loyers plus élevés). Les enfants du P’tit Choeur du Boiron viennent donc de classes sociales plurielles et brassent leurs diversités culturelles.
2. Malgré les efforts des institutions et des politiques culturelles, l’accès à la culture et notamment à l’apprentissage de la musique est encore coûteuse, et trop souvent réservée aux plus riches. En amenant la musique et le chant au cœur d’un quartier, la Compagnie Vuniconu inclut des enfants et des adolescent·e·s qui n’auraient souvent pas eu l’occasion de chanter en groupe et de préparer un concert.
3. De plus, les familles impliquées se rencontrent au coeur du quartier lors de ces séances hebdomadaires, créent du lien, se solidarisent. 1. By its very nature, the Boiron Eco-neighborhood promotes social diversity (approximately one-third social housing, one-third affordable housing, and one-third higher-rent housing). The children in the P’tit Choeur du Boiron therefore come from diverse social backgrounds and bring together their various cultural backgrounds.
2. Despite the efforts of institutions and cultural policies, access to culture—and particularly to music education—remains costly and is too often reserved for the wealthiest. By bringing music and singing to the heart of a neighborhood, the Compagnie Vuniconu includes children and teenagers who otherwise would not have had the opportunity to sing in a group or prepare for a concert.
3. In addition, the families involved meet in the heart of the neighborhood during these weekly sessions, building connections and fostering a sense of solidarity.
