Saturday, September
2 The day began with a group walk, which started at the Stand eco-neighborhood. The participants then crossed the Boiron, followed the Chemin du Bois-Bougy to Eysins, and returned to the neighborhood center via the Route du Stand. Throughout the walk, the participants shared their experiences and perceptions of the places they passed through. The work continued at the neighborhood center with a collective writing workshop during which residents were able to envision and share their stories of Nyon in 2050. Transcripts of the discussions were then posted and discussed collectively. The workshop addressed a wide range of proposals by bringing together themes as diverse as:
the potential for connections between outlying neighborhoods
the relationship to the city center and elements of the wider landscape
the role of precariousness in the city
opportunities for densification
future modes of transportation, and local
agriculture

My dream is a car-free Nyon.
—How do you plan to make that happen?
—With a kind of shuttle bus that would run a loop for free.
- The route would start at the highway and go to the train station, run along the lake road, and head back up through here, for example (Route du Stand) …-
The idea of a loop!
- That would fit with the concept of a car-free city.Rather than a large city, the alternative would be to create a network of small towns and villages around Nyon.
—Yes, a constellation!Nyon’s first greenway could be the beet trail!
When a concrete area is transformed into a green space or a park, a city opens up countless opportunities to bring happiness to its residents.
