The new Petite Prairie 3 neighborhood will offer housing, a public park of at least 10,000 m², public facilities, and shops. To ensure that the park and neighborhood life meet local needs and expectations, the City is involving the public in the project.
An urban planning and landscape design competition helped define the form, atmosphere, uses, and overall image of this future neighborhood. This competition drew on the expectations expressed between November 2024 and January 2025 during a participatory information evening and street interviews conducted in the neighborhood.
The winning project, titled “Les Petites Prairies,” was selected from among ten multidisciplinary teams (architects, landscape architects, engineers, etc.). It was exhibited from October 27 to November 7, 2025, at the Salle de la Colombière. To learn more about the competition results, please consult the jury’s report.
An online survey allowed the public to share their opinions on the winning project.
A participatory event took place on Tuesday, November 4. Participants had the opportunity to provide feedback on the winning project, express their opinions, and suggest ideas. Discussions focused primarily on the park, public spaces, and neighborhood life.
The summary report compiling the results of the questionnaire and the participatory event is now available.
The participatory process will conclude with a workshop scheduled for late 2026.
