Pop-Up Garden, 2nd Edition

Following the success of the square and its pop-up garden, the City has decided to repeat the experience in 2020, improving the layout based on feedback from users, specifically through the installation:

•  furniture for relaxation and leisure (deck chairs, picnic tables, and vegetable gardens)

•  games for children and adults: hopscotch and giant chess

•  pergolas for shade

Improving the venue’s safety was also a goal, due to the proximity of cars.

Feedback
Observations and street interviews were conducted over the summer to gather the public’s opinions on this new development. Notably, the refreshment stand has been quite a success, and young people appreciate being able to relax without spending money. Overall, the development is very well-received.

When did it take place?
The opening ceremony was held on June 18, 2020. During the afternoon, a participatory workshop allowed us to add the final touches of color to the garden! Interviews and observations took place between July and August 2020.
