Process
: Two workshops were held in late 2006 during which everyone could express their ideas. Eight similar youth workshops were organized in parallel.
The ideas developed within this framework served as the basis for the consensus forums held from April to July 2007, during which participants transformed these ideas into concrete projects.
The feasibility of the relevant projects was assessed by the administrative departments, and the Municipality approved them in the form of an action plan, which was also approved by the Municipal Council. The plan was divided into four areas of focus:
Inclusion for All
Toward an Eco-City
The lines of communication are open between authorities and citizens
Let’s Make the Most of Our Strengths
These included projects such as the construction of a multi-purpose sports hall in Colovray, the adoption of a mobility plan, and the strengthening of the city’s communication strategy.
In 2011, a final assessment of this project was conducted. While not all projects were completed, they were all made progress.
Completed projects:
Initiatives to Support Neighborhood Life (solidarity neighborhoods in Les Plantaz and Les Tattes d’Oie, neighborhood centers, etc.)
Childcare (AMF, opening of new UAPE centers, etc.)
Integration of immigrants (creation of the CISEN, expansion of language and integration courses, support for the Fête de l’Interculturelle)
Measures related to communication and dialogue (newsletter sent four times a year to households, creation of a communications officer position, participatory initiatives, etc.)
Adoption of the Urban Mobility Concept
Promotion of the City’s assets (creation of a sports and events office, joint promotion of museums, etc.)
